%X The net radiation (Rn) is indispensable for assessment of evapotranspiration and is responsible for heating the soil and the lower portions of the atmosphere. Many studies have been developed to estimate the net radiation using data from the surface and the atmosphere provided by the MODIS sensor aboard the Terra satellite. However, these data are sufficient to estimate the net radiation only at the instant of satellite overpass, while the larger interest of the net radiation is per daily values. This study aimed to study the net radiation in the restinga of Marambaia -RJ obtained remote sensing. The results were validated with data collected in an automatic meteorological station and presented good agreement. The results of remote sensing showed good performance for a clear day, r2 = 0.93, RMSE = 85.81 Wm-2, MAE = 74.50 Wm-2, d = 0.96. In general, this methodology were consider as interesting alternative in an effort to calculate the net radiation for areas without any instrumentation.
